Popular Broadbents and Ohio attractions

Mark and I are starting to feel pretty popular out here in Cincinnati. My brother Drew has come to visit us twice and Mark's brother Chris just left today. His timing was perfect. Both Mark and I had work/class canceled for a big snow/sleet/freezing rain/hale storm (Chris looked up the definitions for each--there is a difference). We had lots of fun playing games. We also went out to
lunch at Skyline Chili. For those of you who don't know, Cincinnati has its own famous secret-chili-recipe. It's famous not because it tastes good, but because they serve it on spaghetti. a A "2-way special" is spaghetti and chill. With a "3-way", they add a heap of cheese. For a dollar more, they'll even sprinkle a few onions on top. Also, we ate at the exact same Skyline from which Hilary Clinton ordered 2 "cheese coneys" last Friday!

Another famous Cincinnati attraction is Touchdown Jesus. We always pass this world wonder on the way to Shelley's. We didn't realize just how famous he actually was until Drew came to visit stating he saw him on a sitcom. So, he insisted on the photo-op. It's tradition to yell "touchdoooooooooowwn" every time we drive by.

Since living here, I've also developed an addiction to the Ohio signature treat--buckeye balls. They are delicious! Basically, peanut butter dipped in chocolate to look like an actual buckeye nut. Chris' visit was a great excuse for me to make a batch. Too bad we ate most of them before he got here... Anyway here is a link to a good recipe for them:

And finally, the best attraction of Cincinnati, Noah Rand Broadbent. Isn't he cute?

PS You know who said...

Sure wish we could come visit you and see the greatest wonder in Ohio. Noah is certainly growing up. Isn't it fun to dress up your baby in bear suits and Got Milk pjs. Enjoy it because before long he will choose what he wears.

Hey guys! I love that you highlighted Cincinnati on your blog! YAY! :) Have you had Graeter's icecream? You know, Oprah had a thing about it so, if Oprah likes it, it can't be TOO bad. Right? I'm glad you all are here. I'm just sad I don't get to see you very much anymore!
