Wizard of Oz Theme Meal

One of my assignments during my food service retail rotation was to put on an theme meal for the cafeteria. Last year I found out it was suppose to be around June 10th. So I went to one of my favorite websites, wikipedia, and typed in June 10th. It just so happens that it is Judy Garland's birthday. Thus, I chose Wizard of Oz for my theme.

On the Menu:
Munchkin Meatloaves
Tornado Whipped Potatoes
Ruby Slipper Soup (roasted red bell peppers and smoked gouda cheese)
Over-the Rainbow Salad (broccoli slaw, red peppers, sugar snap peas, green onions, tropical fruit)
Emerald City Parfaits (pecan crust, creamy filling, pistachio pudding, and whipped topping--Donna's Dessert to my family)

The Decorations:

The yellow brick road went from the elevators all the way to the cafeteria doors about 30ft

Last, but not least, a special appearance from Dorothy herself (complete with ruby slippers which no one got a picture of)!

This was my meal evaluation table.

Boy am I'm glad that's over!
