Toy Lending Library

Noah got some new toys recently with some of his Christmas money...

Motorcycle and push-popper:

Toy blocks (scattered all over the place in this picture)

The best part of it all is that every 2 weeks we get to take them back and get 3 new (to us) toys to play with. It's a program called toy lending library. It's only $40/year! Every 2 weeks we can go and pick out 3 new toys from over 500 options. They have them cataloged according to different ages and types of toys. It's pretty fun. We love it because we all get sick of toys (especially the obnoxious electronic ones) after a few days--but those first few days with a new toy are soooooo wonderful and we get to experience this twice a month now!

Noah is also in love with books:

Within the last week Noah has learned to say (out loud):
- Truck
- Cracker
- mommy (FINALLY!!)
- Thank you (both out loud and in sign)
- ball
- bear
- baby

These are all the new animal noises he can make:
- goose
- elephant (ok so he's been doing this a long time but still impressive)
- lion
- bear
- hen
- sheep
- tractor (yes, this is an animal noise :) )
- cow
- snake
- wolf (sometimes)
- cat (sometimes--with help)
- donkey and monkey (same noise, I think he might think I'm saying the same word)

New signs:
- please
- thankyou
- sorry
- ice cream
- hat
- front and back, up and down, open and close (not actual sign language but motions that I do along with a book)

And I know you can't believe this, but he has added even more moves to his dancing repertoire. sorry no video this.

Ballys update:
The next day (from my last post) was sooo much better. I played with Noah on the slide for 10 minutes before I left him and he did great! He didn't even want to leave right away when I came back 40 min later. Then wednesday Noah got a cold. we stayed home the rest of the week--we were both miserable. So I was really excited to get out of the house again this week. Monday was great--again, I played with Noah on the slide for 10 minutes and he was happy. Then I got the stomach flu (while trying to type up this post actually which is why you're getting it today instead of Monday). So again, stuck inside the house all day yesterday. (sorry to whomever I gave my stomach flu to on Monday or Sunday but I didn't ask for it either!) This morning at 3 am I woke up feeling 100% better and so excited we could get out of the house again! Anyway, Wednesday is my day off from Bally's so we'll see how it goes tomorrow. I'm determined that it will work out! Think only happy thoughts...

Noah is developing a very good little vocabulary...and an impressive list of sounds! And FINALLY mommy! GO NOAH!

CUTE blog posts! I am playing catch up, I've been MIA from the blogging world for a couple of months. Noah is a cutie! I can't believe how much they change so quickly...

I hope it continues to be good! I'm impressed that you have such a positive outlook and the determination to continue trying to exercise with a little one. It's not an easy task! We miss you!

Good girl. You were always a determined little girl. The toy library is great as they do get tired of their toys quickly. So glad you are taking advantage of all the opportunities out there.
