In 2 months we're moving back to America! from Little Italy that is. We are so excited and our list of reasons for being excited is ever growing.
- Bigger apartment
- Better street
- huge backyard
- dishwasher
- front yard
- off street parking--in a garage in fact
- no bugs!
- No dog poop covering the sidewalk and street
- recycling services
- closer to better tree lawn treasures
- Close to great places to walk/hike
- more than 2 closets
- lots of storage
- open basement (as opposed to the labyrinth below our apartment)
- Less power lines strung from house to house (almost none infact!)
- More open space
- On the same street as my favorite grocery store
- did I mention backyard and off street parking?
- Our neighbors who live upstairs are in our ward, along with the people who live across the street
- no stairs
- Well-kept
- Nice white walls, rather than the nasty fleshy pink paint in our bedroom and part of the kitchen
- Community pool
- space to have friends and guests to come over/stay with us
So we're in love with this place and can't wait to move in. We have even considered asking our friends who live there now to trade us places so that we can be done with this place. Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed living here with all of its obstacles and quirks and I'm sure there will still be bugs and the occasional dog poop on the side walk at our new place. But still. It will be so much better!
I will miss the cheaper rent, our great neighbors, and nice landlord but we just can't stay there anymore...
