Christmas card 2015

Merry Christmas from the Broadbents!
We have had a crazy, fun-filled year with much to be grateful for!

First off, we welcomed Barrett Winter (we call him Bear) into our home May 1. He is growing full speed and keeps us on our toes (except when we trip over him because is under our feet!). He loves his siblings and can’t help but smile whenever they love on him.

Noah turned 8 and chose to be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on October 17. He truly prepared for this decision all year long and we are so proud of him.
These milestone occasions in our life brought several family members out our way for joyous celebration—including both sets of grandmas and grandpas!

We had a couple memorable trips. One to St Louis during Spring Break where we visited the zoo and the City Museum (which we can’t recommend enough!) and the second trip to Washington D.C. for a month. I dragged the kids all over the capital for lots of amazing learning experiences. Someday they will thank me. Both sets of grandparents were able to join us so that I could drag them all over the capital as well.

Lots of sports this year. Noah tried out basketball, but he definitely prefers soccer. Maren joined him on the soccer field this fall. The girls love gymnastics and Noah discovered his passion for Tae Kwon Do. We will have a black belt in the house before you know it. Ellie enjoyed lots of one on one time with mom swimming at the YMCA and participating in dance.

Mark is more than halfway through his radiology residency here in Indy. He interviewed for a handful of fellowship positions around the country where he will further specialize in neuro-radiology. We will find out in May where we will be headed come summer of 2017.

I juggle 5,317 balls at one time. Sometimes a few of them drop but generally I enjoy it. Some of my activities include teaching a preschool dance class, culinary adventures, painting, never-ending projects, and holding a board position in a doctors’ spouses support group.

As we reflect on our lives over the past 12 months, we see the power Jesus Christ has in our lives and gladly celebrate his birth.

Looking forward to 2016!

Holly, Mark, Noah, Maren, Elise, and Barrett
