dead things

Last week Mark took Noah on a walk. They saw a dog.

Noah: "there's a dog! [looks at Mark with a serious face and head tilted to the side] Sometimes dogs are dead."

Noah apparently has a fixation with dead things. He often likes to pretend he is a dead fish or a dead worm or a dead tractor, etc. Next thing you know he'll be wearing all black and combing his bangs forward and to the side.
