four-leaf clover quilt

I recently finished Maren's baby quilt (I made one for Noah too, when I was expecting him). I love the pattern--I think it makes it special and unique. There are a lot of details that you can't quite see with the photos, but the front and back are hand stitched together and the whole thing is hand-quilted (as well as tied in the corners of each square). Each square has a different design quilted into it. It took a really long time to finish!! I am so pleased with the outcome--directions for making your own clover quilt will be posted on my project blog soonish.

I think I've posted this pick before--but I just love it. I love Maren's outfit; I wore it when I was a little girl.

A few weeks ago Noah wanted a Chick Hicks mustache. I also wrote Chick and htB on his arm. Then I gave him a lightning bolt for Lightning McQueen. If you know Noah personally, you know that he is absolutely obsessed with Cars! It's pretty embarrassing when Noah walks up to complete strangers and says "I'm SNOT ROD!" At the end of prayers, he says "AMEN! KA-CHOW!" Anyway, we went to some friends house while Noah still had his stache drawn on and they were like "uh, Holly, why does Noah have a Hitler mustache on???" Oh boy. well, guess I shoulda thought that one out a little better! hahaha.

Here's a more recent picture of Maren

This one's not as recent, but I love her face!

As for other news, Maren's in her own room now and it is fabulous. She will sleep for 8 hours straight. Now if I could only get 8 hours straight sleep. But that will probably never happen because Mark wakes me up when he leaves for work in the morning...
