Related birthday conversations of the week:
Person: "When is your birthday?"
Noah: "October fourteenf!"
Person: "How old are going to be?"
Noah: "Eight!"
(I remind Noah how old is going to be)
Noah: "Fwree!"
Me: "Noah, today is Ian's birthday (his cousin) and tomorrow is your birthday!"
Noah: " No today is my birthday and tomorrow is Ian's birthday!"
(repeat several times)
On the actual day, Thursday--
Noah: "Is my birthday ready now?!"
Today at church--
Noah: "I'm Fwree!"
Austin: "No I'm Fwree!"
Noah: "No I'm fwree!"
Tonight--
Me and Mark: "Noah, it's Leah's birthday (another cousin) today. we're going to sing her happy birthday"
Noah: "No! it's my birthday!"
Noah's a little possessive about his birthday. We had a great week. Lots of great presents. A stingray cake (Noah's obsession right now). A bajillion marine life-themed sugar cookies. Lot's of birthday singing.
Some of Noah's recent accomplishments:
- Day potty-trained (and was clean this morning!)
- Can say words beginning with "L" correctly (with a little concentration)
- Can put his own underwear and pants on. Possibly his own shirts but he can be a little lazy :)
- Is starting to explore the idea of singing. currently he just shouts the words to songs.
- Can spout off several things that start with "D" ("Duh duh Doc Hudson!" "Duh duh dragon!" "Duh duh dolphin!")
- Goes to Preschool twice a week
- Goes to dance class once a week
- We're working on dribbling and kicking a soccer ball (and his attention span!)
- Has an amazing memory
- He is an awesome and enthusiastic big brother!
He's Looking forward to being a stingray for Halloween.

He's adorable. What a cool cake! I love that his three is fwree. It seems like all kids think are "free" when they turn 3. Let the total independence begin.
I can hear Noah and Mark saying these things. I can hear Holly laughing. Did Mark laugh when you turned his favorite jacket into a stingray costume? (How did you make that?)
It looks like you are having a lot of fun being a great mommy! Maren is adorable, and of course Noah is too! Miss you guys.
