I have been potty training Maren for the last month or so. Last night I initiated phase 3 and expected the worse. This morning I woke up to find a dry toddler bed and a full froggy potty. Hallelujah.
phase 1: wear undies at home, go pee in the potty
phase 1.5: wear undies during quiet time with unsupervised use of froggy potty in bedroom (scary!)
phase 2: wear undies when we leave the house, use public toilets (or froggy potty if we are at a park)
phase 3: wear undies to bed
She still has an accident or 2 almost daily but I can't believe how incredibly easy this has been. She was ready to be potty trained so that's the most important lesson I learned this time around. I also don't get mad when she has accidents. that helped a ton too. (With Noah I would get mad) I just had to realize that accidents were a part of the learning process. So now I have only 2 kids in diapers. Although, to Noah's credit, he wears underwear during the day and it's probably my fault that he still wears them at night because I definitely pushed him into potty-training way too early. Sorry buddy!

Way to go, Maren (and way to go Holly of course)! It's not your fault Noah needs pull-ups at night I promise. They either have the stay-dry at night switch in their brain or they don't. It's also a thing that boys are known to develop that later- my girls were dry at night before I potty-trained them but Ryan needs pull-ups.
Ya, don't beat yourself up. I think it just depends on the kid. ;D
