Working on my flaws

The other day I had to pick a screaming, kicking Noah up and quickly load him onto his bus while the bus driver quickly closed the door behind him.  He was in a bad mood that morning.  And then it occurred to me that I'm often grumpy in the mornings (usually because I didn't get enough sleep since I still get up/stay up with Elise at night).  But even though I try to explain my lack of sleep problem to Noah, it's just beyond his understanding right now.  He has learned to be grumpy in the mornings because, let's face it, I'm no peach in the mornings.  So I'm trying to do better.  If I want him to be happy in the morning.  I have to be chipper as well.

Today was a good start.  And as evidence, when I called after him as he was running to the bus "I love you, have a good day!", he called back, "I love you, too, Mom, have a good day, too!"
