So maybe I went a little overboard with my incredibly cute cars that actually rolled and had the 4 kids' (Noah and 3 friends) names written on the license plates in delicious frosting. ;) I think they turned out really well given the fact that I have never made anything like this before and have never used fondant before either. So no sending these only slightly imperfect ;) cakes to my favorite website. Besides, I'm not a professional, yet...

Noah's was the truck.

He was pretty excited about them and was doing everything he could possibly think of to get out of daddy's hands and onto the table to "play with" (aka destroy) the cakes pre-party.

He really liked that cake--don't worry, we pulled the fondant out of his mouth just in time. That stuff is almost pure sugar and I'm pretty sure it would have colored his um, you know, for the rest of the weekend.

Holly, those cars are awesome! They totally put my Mater cake to shame! Maybe I'll have to try again sometime using fodant. I didn't plan well enough to try it this time. Nice job!
p.s. Mater is from Cars. I can't believe you haven't seen it!
This was a darling blog entry. Noah is the cutest part, of course. I also loved your little fondant cars. How did you get them to roll?
You are very clever. I liked your tale of going to the Amish land, too. Your list of accomplishments. Yeah! You have had a busy year and a half of married life. Your black covered storage is great. I laughed at your empty picture frame but GHousekeeping Magazine once featured a whole wall of empty frames as a decorating scheme.
Love and hugs
Happy b-day Noah! Wow, very impressive, Holly, with the cars! Noah is lucky to have such a great family!
did you know yo are amazing? those cakes are crazy cool! oh and congrats with being an official RD! WAY exciting. too bad though, cause looks like your real calling in life is making cakes...not eating healthy.
Happy Birthday Noah! AMAZING cakes!!! He really did change so much from when he was born! He kinda looks more like a Rands to me. He is so cute Holly! And to your last post, yeah thanks that song i now in my head from when we once sang it in choir!
Holly, I am so glad you have a blog. I was realizing that there weren't any recent pictures of Noah on facebook and that if he was around for Halloween last year, he had to have had a recent birthday...I am so excited that I found the information jack pot! Great cakes by the way. You are obviously the most impressive mom ever.
