Oh boy oh boy! On the way home, I had to take a detour and this took me straight thru this neighborhood. It was very difficult to stay in my lane as I was too busy looking everywhere and trying to stay in my seat. Did you know that Amish people have driveways? And what do they park in those Amish driveways? Why, a buggy of course! I saw lots of them. As I was leaving the "nieghborhood" I was a little sad that I didn't actually see a horse-n-buggy in action. I did, however, see 3 Amish girls walking to town.
So why did I drive an hour out of Cleveland today? It's a bureaucratic nightmare, I'll tell ya. It was the only way I could get my car inspected so that I can drive it legally before my upcoming RD exam (a week from today!!!!). Why can't I legally drive it even though it's in perfectly good condition? If you look back to previous posts you'll remember that my only car got smushed. A month ago. Short story is the insurance called it a total loss, and if we wanted to fix it ourselves we had to change the title to a salvage title (you can't drive a car w/ a salvage title) an then fix it and then purchase an inspection and then get it inspected (highway patrol in Cleveland unable to see it til at least Oct 17), and then get title changed back to rebuilt title. Instead of waiting that long I could drive out to the middle of nowhere and have them inspect it a week and a half earlier. So now its inspected and Mark gets to go back downtown to the salvage title office and change the title to rebuilt title so we can finally drive it and have a car again. That's the short version. The long version has many explicitives and I'm working on controlling my temper and being a better Christian. This is why socialized medicine won't work (not because of my temper problem but because of bureaucratic doodoo like this). (That'll be all for my politics, sorry for those who don't care to know).
Anyway, the drive out to Amishland almost made it worth it. P.S. I don't mean any disrespect to Amish people--I think they're fascinating. That's all. Oh and Ohio has the second largest population of Amish right behind Pennsylvania. Ok, now I'm done. Back to studying for my RD exam. If I don't pass, we'll all know why...

Your family is so cute! Good luck on the RD exam. I will definetely be thinking about you!
You make me miss Ohio. (sigh) Yes, I miss the Amish and the beautiful farms they run. We are here in DC which is also beautiful but in a more stuffy- "I'm historic-LOOK AT ME!" kinda way. Miss you guys
