a trip down memory lane...

Tonight I decided to look at some of the pictures from my study abroad in France.

Do you ever look back at your pictures and think "why the heck did I take a picture of that???!!!"

How about this one? "Hey those are some really big, ugly fish (click)"

"Hey, here's a donkey! (think: Goofy Laugh) Never gonna see one o' those again! (click)"

And "Wouldn't it be HILARIOUS if I put this ridiculous yard gnome in the bidet and took a picture?!!? (click)"

I think I got a few good ones too though. This is probably right after I got pooped on by a pigeon. Maybe it wasn't so romantic to be seated outside on the sidewalk. This was my adventurous meal by the way. I ate snails, rabbit, and duck, oh my!

This is me trying to be cute. In a garden. Somewhere in Paris. Can't you tell?

Oh, the French Riviere. *sigh*

This is the beach where we would go "do our homework." Somehow I got stung by a jellyfish doing my homework on this beach. It's also the beach where I convinced 20 or so mormon girls to go swimming "à-poil" at midnight on the last night of our stay there. (something I recommend to every girl. very liberating. Also very hilarious.)

Someday I will go back. I love France. In fact, if it wasn't 11:30 at night, I would probably go turn on my Amelie soundtrack and dance around the house, sighing. I have some good stories from that trip. Including the one where I got chased by an old man wearing nothing but a faded, hot pink baseball cap in broad daylight.

Here's one last picture, in honor of one of my favorite movies Amelie.

All the pictures of Paris were great. Our Amy loves Paris too, maybe you and she could go back together someday. Have a great day. Love to all. Laurie

Thanks for letting me re-live, I mean, live these moments with you! Do you have an edited version of Amelie? I do love that movie.

PS You know who said...

Ah, France. I will bring you your album when I come. I don't remember the story about the man in the cap.
