Happy belated Pi Day

We had our Pi(e) Party again this year. oooh boy do I love pie. I never realized how much I liked pie until I started tasting/making pies from scratch. I do have to admit though, I don't care to make my own crust so I buy the pillsbury tube and then fill it with delicious homemade pie filling. I forgot to take pictures before of our pies and of the pies that other people brought so they probably don't look as appetizing to you. oh well, you can just imagine.

Raspberry sour cream with crumble top and fresh glazed strawberry pie (home made glaze, not that nasty stuff sold in a bag)



Don't gag when you hear what this pie is. any guesses???

It's avocado pie. Mark loves avocado milkshakes and thought an avocado pie sounded good. I found a couple recipes and this is what we came up with. It's sweet and tastes more like a key lime pie. most people liked it. One kid was excited to eat green pie but one taste and he looked about ready to cry. Noah loved it and asked for seconds and thirds.

Other pies at the party included a chocolate hazelnut pie (so good!!!!!), coconut cream, banana cream, and peanut butter pie to name a few. again, sorry no pictures, it was a delicious site to see!

Hah! i didn't realize I was this huge til I looked at this picture. 3 more months to go. oh man. I should probably not eat so much pie!
