We had a busy weekend. The snow was pretty much gone by Thursday except for a few measly snow-plow-made mounds on the tree lawns. Then Thursday night, it started snowing golf-ball-sized snow flakes. We woke up to this the next morning.

I love when it snows like this in March though because you know it's not going to last. And it's warm enough outside to go play in it. We got all bundled.

Our poor tree is about to fall over :(

All the other trees are falling over too. That's a sidewalk that my camera is pointing down. Beautiful and magical though, isn't it?

We walked around a little then ended up in the back yard. I put Maren down for a nap so Noah and I could make a huge snow fort and shovel our driveway. When Mark got home, we went ice skating.

Saturday was really sunny and warm. We cleaned house (our spring cleaning is done!), put Maren down for a nap, and then went out back to play in the snow some more. Here's my fort.

By the time I finished, the walls were twice as high and I closed off one of the 2 doorways.
Mark made a snow man. One time we were talking to my parents about how Noah helped Mark make a snowman. They asked if it had a carrot nose. They furrowed their brows when we said no. So here are some carrots for you :)

Maren came out to join us at the end.

The snow is pretty much all gone now. You can still see my fort but it is very short.
We had a pie party that night. We made some very delicious pies including maple bacon pecan, baked Alaska, and strawberry rhubarb pie. What an awesome weekend.
