GC Day 22

Whoops--I missed the deadline for today but since I'm still up, I'm going to count it!  Earlier today I read an article about how listening to complaining is bad for you.  it "actually makes you dumber."  Haha that explains a lot about a few customer service people I have talked to on the phone.  So I guess that means by reading my gratitude blog you are actually getting smarter.  right?

Today I'm grateful that I could just stay home and get some chores done.  Wednesday is my laundry day.  I usually try to get a head start on Tuesday evening but I was so worn out by all of our Tuesday activities that I decided to be lazy instead.  Here are some pictures of our day yesterday:

Maren gets really excited about petting the animals until they turn around and look at her.  By the way, isn't that rooster in the background just amazing?
Noah loves to "comb" the animals
A closer look at the rooster.
Whitecaps baseball game.
He was mostly excited about the treats I packed for him.
Maren loved to get me in trouble with the ushers.
Proof that I had all 3 kids with me at a game.  We left promptly after the 6th inning.

I often have to remind myself that I really am so grateful for my kids.  Yesterday Noah said, "aw man, 3 kids is just too hard."  I went and gave him a big kiss and told him it was hard but that I loved him and that it was so worth it.  When I asked him what his favorite part of the baseball game was he said "The eyeball race, the gummy worms, and the cheerleaders." Go figure.

Noah in the green shirt, at soccer practice
Maren will be ready for soccer practice when it is her turn.
Elise doesn't care about soccer practice.  She is just wondering why I keep putting her on the grass and yelling.

I'm thankful for the ability to nurse Elise just about anywhere I darn well please--including at soccer practice.  Can I just say that letdown is one of the most awkward sensations?  And I'm not talking about disappointment!

Noah, shout-asking about where the old sandwich was that the other kids kept pointing out.  He's really in to sports you can see.

Well, now I'm thankful that the last load of laundry is in the dryer so I can go to bed now.   and I'm thankful for my comfy bed.  Good night.
