It was time for me to throw out the store-bought playdough--i found myself "playing" with it more than Noah just to get it malleable enough for Noah to work with. So, thanks to the Toy Lending Library (what will I do without you when you end this summer?!?!?), I found a very fun playdough set with a recipe included. I kept the store playdough containers. one batch filled 2 containers and then some. Noah loves playdough and will entertain himself for an hour with it, it's great! Enjoy!
1 cup flour
1 cup water
1/2 cup salt
2 tsp cream of tartar
2 tbsp vegetable oil
food coloring
mix all ingredients over medium heat until it becomes a ball. knead until cool. store in air-tight container or baggies.

That is great play dough. I used to make that for Amy and Andy and it stays fresh longer and is easier to work with and store.
Have a great weekend.
