last post for today: Mark's bday party

We celebrated Mark's birthday today. Mark wanted sandwiches for dinner. So I got some fancy bread and cheese and all the toppings. Quite a satisfying meal! I also made half of a pineapple-upside-down cake. A full cake is just too much for us--this was a good solution! My mom made the tablecloth/runner for our family for christmas. Mark got an outlet timer and extension cord for his birthday (plus some running shoes that he bought himself). Just what he wanted. seriously. This way, he can have a lamp turn on in our room for a half-hour or so while he is waking up rather then pressing the snooze button a billion times and waking me up every 5 minutes ;) This will be helpful for early-morning rotations (4 or 5am and such). Let's hope it works!
